Oh ho, Khep, you say. What's up with this? You come back, pop two pictures up here, and then BAM, you're gone again. Wtf, mate?

I have an excuse! 'Er... explanation! XD;;

H'okay, so, reason for my lack of update....

*drumroll*

I'm lazy? XD Haha, I kid, I kid.

Seriously though, the reason I've not been putting up any more pictures, is because me and an EXCLUSIVE team of professionals have been putting our heads together.

Between myself, ~padfooteh, ~LucidFlight and ~Vaidya, we are working VERY hard to give you something that I THINK (and correct me if I'm wrong XD) everyone has been curious of.

And that, would be the Restitution Harbor comic.

Yes, that's right! We're actually doing it. In the few hours I manage to get to myself every day, we've been plotting and scheming, for your enjoyment.

Very soon, you will have the first few pages of RH to clasp onto, if you so wish. However, I'm not putting a specific date, because I've only got so many minutes to myself a day. XP But, we're all working as fast as we can, I can assure you.

So... if you're excited, please tell us. I'd love to hear it. And if you think the comic's good enough, feel free to share. We're hoping to get a large group of readers in the future. Large enough to try and reopen the forum, and make the comic more accessible for readers. =D

Thanks for your patience, m'dears! We'll work as hard as ever!

Love always,
Khep

Persuing Normalcy

So... obviously, I've been missing for quite some time now... To those of you who have missed me, I apologize profusely.

I've moved, and my computer is in the basement. Out of sight, out of mind, so to speak.

And on July 10th, my mother passed away. I'm still reeling from that, so it is the only excuse I really have.

Again, I'm sorry...

But, I'm trying to put my life back as it was, or as close to it as possible... So I should be back, I hope.

Love you all.

Haha, figures my first journal of 2008 would be 2 weeks into the new year. *snorts* Ah well, happy late New Years everyone. Hope ya'll stayed relatively safe. 8D

In other news, I'm officially 19. Legal to drink myself stupid in Canada, and that's about it. Yay for fewer and fewer highlights of aging! 8D

So, birthday went super awesomely well; had an internet friend from Canada stay the night... We were up until 7 am. It was AMAZING. We'll be doing it again sometime soon, I hopeses. Super awesome.

Still working. Still going to college. Nothing really new to report in that area, other than I have the most BORING class ever. D= 'History and Politics of the Middle East: 1900 to Present.' Okay, it's really actually super interesting. @_@ But way too much information for my poor little brain to get a grasp on. x_x I am trying though, gotta count for somethin'.

Hm, what else, what else? Ah, this month on the 21st, it'll be 8 months for me and my lady, which is awesome-sauce. X3 And it'll only be around another 4-5 months until I can see her. So damn excited. *does a happy dance*

Okay, so, rambling aside, I'll update you on other things. Like my forums. Oh yes, that's right.

So, Elysian went belly-up there for a while. But guess what, it's getting renovated! HOORAH! Yes. Erin, Omi and I are reviving it here within the next week or so, and we'll be publicising it much more than before; so if you want to see it alive, please, SPREAD THE WORD.

Restitution Harbor will be revived as well, as many of you may know it's still dead in the water. There will be more character references coming in time, but that particular forum is being trumped by Elysian. Even though RH is my own creation. It's a lot more work than Elysian, and will take longer to revamp and ressurect. But no worries, just be patient and it'll be up before you know it.

There's also yet ANOTHER forum in the making. It's called 'No Soul For Freedom' and is mostly a human-based RP forum. It's also based on a book that I'm planning on writing. This too, requires a lot of work, as it's still in its infancy stages, so the link won't be readily available for a while.

All the links to previously mentioned forums WILL be available soon though, I promise. If you're interested in joining any, please, note me and I'll give you the link, even if only to take a look-see.

Anywhoozle, thanks for taking the time to read ALL THIS NONSENSE. Hope you all know I appreciate it, very much so. And I hope you all know that I love you. Thanks for everything, and I hope your new year treats you well!

In the light of Spirit

Holiday Spirit. Not everyone has it. I've learned this from working at the local mall. Society pressures people to spend, spend, SPEND, all in light of the 'holiday spirit.' Kids get greedy, and they always have. But because of technology, 'I want a pony!' has turned into 'I want a Wii, and an iPod, and a PlayStation3 AND all the GAMES for them!'

No, not all people are like that. And yes, I even experienced some of that good old Christmas greed. But I watched people, faces pale, drained and fretful, run around in an absolute frenzy, trying to find that PERFECT gift for everyone in their family. And it's a sad thing, because in reality, we've all lost sight of that perfect gift.

Love.

I was fortunate enough to receive that gift a thousandfold this Christmas. My first Christmas in 10 years that I got to spend with my mother, instead of it being through 'just a visit.' I live here now, this is my home. I could wake up, and see the bright, infectious smiles on everyone's faces. It was the best present I could ever ask for, because Christmas is a hard time for my mother.

She has lost all her children through divorce and drug-abuse. Her first child, her son, he died on Christmas, the day before his very first birthday. Years, she has spent Christmas alone, and she has struggled through it. But this Christmas, she smiled.

Best present ever. And I will always cherish that, even if it is not something tangible that I can hold onto, or a picture that I can hang on the wall. It was my first Christmas with her, and she remembered how to smile.

I pray, to whatever Gods may hear me these days, that all of you remember what Christmas is all about. Sure, you can base that off religion and tell me it's the day Jesus was born. I really don't figure that into my equation.

Christmas is about the love that you share with your family, or your friends. Christmas is about the laughter, the comfortable feeling, the sheer joy of having people you love surround you. And if you think you don't have that, then you're wrong. Always, there will be someone, even if it is just one person, that you mean the world to. Always there will be someone who loves and cherishes you.

Please, do not forget that. No one in this world goes unloved, or unthought of. And that is what Christmas is about. Remember the good times that come before it, and learn from the bad ones as well. Every day is a new start. Everyone gets second chances.

Just try... to remember how to smile. <3
